The system ensures that when a Production/Manufacturing Order is released in ERP, an appropriate Process Batch is created in Process LIMS, which records all samples taken during the processing of that batch. A Process Specification can be seen as a collection of Batch sample schedules, which may include quality checks, normally carried out on the plant floor. This data is entered into Process LIMS and forms part of the electronic batch record. Using Process LIMS, Production is immediately made aware of the status of each Control point sample, thereby improving the turnaround times for samples and batches. Batch status reports are available showing all laboratory results for both completed and in-process batches.

Broadcast automatically via 'Live Screen Update' to selected screens in the plant. This function enables plant floor personnel to obtain results from LabSys LIMS without the need to sign on to the system, and ensures the transfer of sample results data as soon as they are available.
